These Bodum double wall Canteen Old Fashioned Glasses are 6 ounces in size and can be used for cold or warm beverages. Its unique design is appealing to the eye when filled with your favorite beverage. With its double layer of borosilicate glass it appears as though the liquid is 'floating' within the glass. They will not sweat when filled with a cold beverage, so you will not have to use a coaster. The double wall creates a thermal effect, helping to keep your cold drinks cold and your hot drinks hot for longer periods of time. These mouth blown glasses are an exciting product for any home, restaurant, and cafe and are a definite conversation piece. The double wall also makes for a nice votive candle holder, eliminating wax spills and the need for a coaster. Bodum’s insulated glassware is made from durable Borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass is a strong heat-resistant glass traditionally used to make scientific lab glass. Stronger than traditional “soda-lime” glass, borosilicate can be used for everything from drinkware to cookware. Borosilicate glass substitutes boron oxide in place of the soda and lime used in everyday glassware. The boron oxide acts as the glue holding the silicate together. Due to small size of boron particles, the glass is held together tighter, resulting in a stronger, lighter glass. Borosilicate glass doesn’t need to be as thick as traditional glass to be just as strong due to the bonding capability boron oxide. Borosilicate is simply a different type of glass that is resistant to temperature swings and scratching. Because the particles are held together so tightly, borosilicate glass is resistant to temperature swings, In addition to being dishwasher safe borosilicate will not become cloudy over time; you can rest assured that after 1,000 cycles, the glass will be as clear as the day you bought it.

This tumbler does exactly as advertised: the glass remains cool to the touch even while holding boiling water. The only negative is that it will break easily if tapped with any hard object.so be careful with it.
These glasses are GREAT as nice and functional as all the other Bodum line AND. they can stack.
I have been a fan of Bodum for many years. I like these glasses because they don't sweat and are light. They are sturdy enough for everyday use and keep ice longer and drinks colder. Great designs. I know there is no one around but I like the style of these glasses so I look good having my morning coffee as well. These glasses are everything that they were promised to be. I drink espresso every morning and the size of this glass is perfect for my purposes. Form and function. Both are present in this product.
Our friends think it's just a tad small for cocktails. The tumbler is lightweight and just the right size for my mother (75 yrs old). Once we put water in it is still light enough for her to hold. We love them. No sweating and sturdy enough for the dishwasher.
